One of a cluster of small islands off the Cuban coastline and joined to the mainland by a 17km causeway, Cayo Guillermo is a beautifully tranquil island with stunning white beaches lapped by clear turquoise seas; a fabulous destination for relaxation and water based activities such as snorkelling, diving and deep sea fishing. No Cuban residents live on any of the ‘Cayos’ so all activities are hotel based and the hotels provide plenty of entertainment and activities for everyone; families, couples and singles will all enjoy a peaceful, relaxing holiday at Sol Cayo Guillermo.
Offering standard double rooms and superior double rooms, some with sea view (at additional cost), all of the 264 rooms at the Sol Cayo Guillermo are 58 square meters in size in one and two storey ‘bungalows’. All rooms are furnished with two double beds, shower, telephone, satellite TV, mini bar, hair dryer, air conditioning, in room safe and balcony or terrace.
Superior double rooms are situated on the second floor and are the same as standard rooms but with the added benefits of extra face towels, ironing set, leather desk folder, sunbed on the terrace, magnifying mirror and coffee maker. Laundry service is available at extra cost.
There are two freeform swimming pools at the Sol Cayo Guillermo with a children’s section and more than enough parasols and sun loungers to go around.
For the more active guest, there are numerous sporting activities including snorkelling, diving, windsurfing, catamarans, kayaking, beach volleyball, aerobics, tennis and table tennis.
There are also daytime and evening activities programmes with theme parties, shows and live music plus a disco and Children’s Club.
There is a good choice of restaurants, bars and snack bars to choose from with both buffet and A la Carte dining on offer. Please note that the A la Carte option must be pre-booked.
