With the most unspoilt Coral Reefs in the World, Cayo Santa Maria is a must for guests who enjoy snorkelling or scuba diving.
There are two free form swimming pools at the Melia Cayo Santa Maria surrounded by sun terraces with free sun loungers and parasols for your relaxation and comfort and cabanas for a bit more privacy.
The Melia Cayo Santa Maria offers guests a choice from it’s 356 rooms with 326 standard rooms, 28 standard ocean view rooms and 2 suite deluxe romance rooms. Sole occupancy rooms are available at a supplement. Standard rooms offer 2 twin or 1 king size bed, individually controlled air conditioning, satelite TV, CD player, coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board and hairdryer, fully equipped bathroom and either a balcony or terrace. Rooms are all low rise with either ground or first floor accommodation.
There are 5 bars and 6 restaurants at your disposal at the Melia Cayo Santa Maria. These consist of the main buffet restaurant, the beach restaurant called El Almirante, serving snacks 7 days a week from 11.00am until 8.00pm, and 4 a la carte restaurants, Casa da Vinci Italian Restaurant, El Portulano serving International Mediterranean cuisine, Santa Maria del Mar which offers select International Cuisine and a Japanese A la Carte. The bars consist of the beach bar, snack bar, lobby bar, pool bar and fun pub.
There is a variety of activities available at the Melia Cayo Santa Maria to keep all the family entertained, with the Hotel animacion team you can participate in water polo, aerobics, aquaerobics and other activities offered by the daytime entertainment staff and there is also a range of sports including archery, badminton, basketball, volleyball, football, french boules, kayaking, sailing, darts, pool table, table tennis, pedaloes and one free intrudctory diive in the pool. There is also a Gym at your disposal if you feel like keeping in trim and whirlpool for relaxing in after.
For the younger members of the family there is a hotel run kids club with a splash pool and free cots and highchairs
There are frequent daytime activities to keep all ages entertained with the Hotel Animacion team which usually includes beach and pool games along with dance lessons, spanish lessons and plenty of evening entertainment with a variety of show on offer.
